The Most Expensive Engagement Rings

There are generally two aspects to identifying the quality, and so the cost, of wedding rings. One aspect is the metal used for the band, including its type and purity. Platinum will typically cost more than gold, and 24 carat gold will cost more than 18 carat. The other value-defining feature is the type of stone – traditionally diamonds – set in the ring. Diamonds have four measures of quality: carat, clarity, colour and cut.
