shutter blinds

Designing your shutters is a very important part of our service. The last thing we want is a customer, who later on, looks at their shutter and wishes they had done it slightly differently.Apart from the three basic designs of Tier on Tier, Full Height and Cafe, there are a few other things to take into consideration.Door ConfigurationThe way the shutters open will generally be guided by how you are going to use them.Wider panels will be more suited to the customer who prefers to leave the shutters closed and only operate the louvres for light control. Some customers will want to open the panels more often. This is where our bi-fold and multi-fold options come in.The heavier MDF range is only available with a maximum of two door panels each side but our lighter natural timber ranges can have up to four each side.T PostsWe often use T posts to help spread the weight on wider installations. These are used to allow you to choose the more affordable MDF range where normally it would be too heavy. This option doesn’t suit all windows though and our surveyor will advise you on the survey.
